The wait begins!

Everything went fine yesterday--I am now responsible for 2 grade A blasts....hopefully they are in the process of hatching and getting ready to implant. Any one's RE give them a window for hatching/implanting? Im interested to see if most opinions are the same--I was given anywhere from day 6-8. Any other foods/tricks/yoga poses I can do to make sure these babies implant??=)

Yesterday: I had pre-acupuncture and then transfer was at 11am-then the post acu. Both really made me feel at ease. Mook was able to dress in scrubs and come in the room with me--I just teared up thinking and hoping that the next time I would see him in scrubs would be in the delivery room....The embryologist said that both we were transferring looked "great" and that we will hopefully have 8 to freeze--I should find out in the next few days.

I'm feeling good...most of the time. Of course the nerves set in, and I get worried that I dont feel much going on down there...

Ill be taking it easy at least through tomorrow--just watching movies, reading and lounging. I would do this all the way until beta if I knew it was a guarantee! I would love to be reading Harry right now, but dear sweet Mook ordered it for me (thinking it would sell out) so it wont be here until Wednesday-at least it's something to look forward to!

So here is a cell-phone shot of our babes..."Pearl" and "Jam" Send them good sticky vibes!!=)

  7. technically they can implant anywhere from day 6-12 although 6-10 is more typical and earlier is more likely with assisted hatching. even after implantation it takes a few days for them to begin making measurable amounts of hcg, which causes all the same symptoms as the PIO anyway, so don't torture yourself waiting to feel something.

8 to freeze is amazing, and pearl and jam are GORGEOUS!! sticky vibes to you all!!!!

  8. Pearl & Jam - I love it.

Since you asked, Supta Baddha Konasana (reclining bound angle pose) is a great, non-stressful yoga pose for times like these. Perfect for meditation and opening up energy flow through the pelvic region. Will go perfect with your mellow regimen for the next couple of days. I have a link on my website to these poses. Click on the first link under "Resources" and then click on the pose link to see how it is done.

Wishing you and your kids all the luck in the world.

  18. Stick, Pearl and Jam, stick!! Will you POAS or drive me slowly insane by waiting for the beta?

Implantation happens 7 - 10 days past ovulation. I don't know if their stint in the petri dish makes them a little shy and therefore they burrow in closer to the 10 day mark or what. But, since you did a day 5 transfer, it should happen relatively quickly.

Of course, PIO will make you think you are wildly pregnant anyway so any attempt at SymptomWatch2007 will be futile. Just POAS soon and let us know!

I'm sending you tons and tons and tons of hugs and love and luck.

  28. What beautiful clusters you made!
I remember the old "symptom watch 2005 and 2006". The truth of it, though, is that you may not feel much going on. Maybe some cramping here and there. Maybe some spotting. And all don't mean jack. At what day does your RE do your beta?

  29. I so love your embies names! I need names for my quads, but I'm over half way to my beta...seems a bit silly now. So I guess I'll just call them the quads for the moment. Your embies look great! They look a lot different than mine which have all been 3 day transfers (a lot happens between 3 days and 5 days!) Glad you're taking it easy! I'm trying to, but I'm getting antsy! So lots and lots o' luck to you! (and to me too!)

  30. OH and FYI, if you're going to POAS, you need to wait until at least 10 or 11 days AFTER your trigger shot was or you'll get a false positive!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Pearl and Jam are BEAUTIFUL! Hope you got lots of rest, enjoy Harry tomorrow. :)

yay for being BETA buddies, but maybe I'm a bad one because I POAS already. Glad to read the comment from Lara, perhaps what I'm seeing isn't the HCG trigger...;)

    P&PT!
