OK, so I actually got warned quite a bit:
"It goes by SO fast--enjoy every moment..."
"You thought the year went by fast before you had kids? Just wait...."
"Time flies when you are having fun..."
I'm actually in a state of denial right now--Mook keeps bringing up that we need to start thinking about ideas for O-man's first birthday and I can barely speak of it.
I'm just not ready.
How did my tiny baby go from this:
To this big boy:
But G is also for GRATEFUL
I'm incredibly grateful that I have been able to watch this little miracle grow from a tiny fleck on the ultrasound screen, to a very active, healthy 9 month old.
And speaking of grateful: thank you to all our incredible service men and women. Thank you, so very much.
I LOVE how you're doing these updates with Sesame Street letters, and seeing my favorite Muppet today is extra special.
ReplyDeleteO-Man is one of the cutest babies I've ever seen. He is so expressive for a little one! I can't help but grin whenever I see pics of him!
And what an adorable little guy he is. I'm right there with you, I can't believe it time to start talking first birthdays.
ReplyDeleteHe is so handsome and since our guys are the same age, I can only say, SO MUCH THIS! First birthday? can't we keep them this small forever?
ReplyDeleteI've been loving the alphabet series. I think that these are helping you to live in the now.
ReplyDeleteI love the chick magnet bib!
ReplyDeleteWe'll plan their 1 year birthdays together on the phone over a bottle of wine and a box of tissues... I think there are a couple other ladies in the BB that might want to be a part of that phone call too. :)
ReplyDeleteThey do grow up so quick.
ReplyDeleteThe best advice I ever got was when someone told me "don't wish his little life away". this woman told me this after I complained about Zilla not sleeping the night before. I think I said "I wish he was older and actually SLEPT!" When she said that, I knew exactly what she meant! Even since then I've tried so hard to enjoy every moment and make them firm memories in my mind.
ReplyDeleteIt's so amazing to watch them grow up. He is such a special little guy and so lucky to have you and Mook as his parents.
*HUGS*
He is SO SO SO cute and gorgeous!
ReplyDeletexxx
Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThey do grow up wayyyyyyy too fast.
*hugs*
Fast is right, and how is mine 18 months already?
ReplyDeleteIt seems like he was just born! Wow.
ReplyDeleteI am loving this daily update! I get a JJ fix EVERY single day! and the adorable pictures of O-man always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for YOU JJ. You are a great mom, a wonderful friend, and help make many of us smile.
