Brought to you by: The Letter D

D is for DOG

We had our first family dog when I was just a baby--unfortunately, I have very few memories of her, but I know from stories my parents tell that we were quite the pair.

Over the years, we attempted to have a family dog--always adopting one from the animal shelter, but for some reason or another we had to find a home for the dog--one was a biter, one was a constant house pooper and with 3 kids in the house, it became quite an ordeal.

And then one December, we went back to the animal shelter, and found a great
fantastic dog that was a perfect match for our family....and he really set the bar high for any future dogs.

So when Mook and I adopted Chocolate J when she was only 6 weeks old, we knew that we had the perfect match for our new family....

Her head is now the size of this bowl...love looking at this to remind me how tiny she was!

Celebrating her 2nd birthday!

Oh, this was torture for all of us-she had to have ear surgery and of course had to wear the cone--this is the third cone--and you can see, she had already sunk her teeth into this one as well

Still thinking she is 8lbs (add a zero onto that)...but this isn't long after our failed IVF cycle--she just knew I needed some comforting. She got me through some tough days...

My pretty Chocolate J, you will always be my first baby--you may drive me batty most days, but your unconditional love is something I'm very thankful for.

There is nothing like a good pair of jeans; they shape us, support us and make us look our best. I'd love for you to share your jeans with me!
